LOS MAS VALIENTES

Los Mas Valientes is one of the most exciting live acts in the NYC Latin Jazz scene. The core of the band is four women: band leader/composer/flutist Jessica Valiente, Saxophonist Debra Kreisberg, bassist Anna-Milat-Meyer and percussionist Yasuyo Kimura.
Their debut album, Los Mas Valientes, was released in 1999, was picked as one of Latin Beat magazine's Top Ten Albums of 1999, and has received excellent reviews in Jazz Now, Cadence, and New York Press. The soloists soar above one of the tightest rhythm sections in today's Latin jazz scene, and the compositions deliver memorable melodies and fresh arrangements.
Gira Caribena is the second release from flutist Jessica Valiente and New York's hottest new Latin Jazz band. In this album the band explores the music of the Caribbean that has influenced Latin Jazz throughout the years. This new record features salsa, bomba, and merengue complete with vocals and special guests Ray Vega, Miri Ben Ari and Carlos "Tato" Torres. Gira Caribena has garnered a Top Ten of 2002 by Latin Beat Magazine.
