KITARO

"Nature inspires me. I am only a messenger. To me, some songs are like clouds, some are like water". Thus Kitaro describes his contemplative, highly melodic music, revered for the ability to embody the human spirit with music of passion and drama. Since his innovative Silk Road album in 1980, Kitaro has been in the forefront of new age music. After seven Grammy nominations, with Thinking of You Kitaro won the 2001 Grammy Award for the best New Age album.

THINKING OF YOU

Thinking of You features poetic, fluid melodies with strings, soaring flute lines, and rising keyboard arpeggios. The album's romantic, spiritual, oriental dreamlike themes and exotic arrangements reflect Kitaro's softer side and reaffirm his prolific talent.

ANCIENT

Kitaro's newest release is a return to his signature roots, expressing his more delicate and gentle side. Ancient is inspired by the people, geography, and culture from four ancient civilizations: Mesopotamia, Indus, Egypt and China.

MUSIC FOR THE SPIRIT

Volume 3 of this popular compilation features two Kitaro compositions and tracks from artists around the world, including Nawang, Khechog, the Grammy award nominated flutist, Yu-Xiao Guang, a violin virtuoso, and Benedetti and Svoboda, the world renowned Flamenco guitar duo.
