EGYPTICAT
EqyptiCat features Patrick Lee Hadley playing the Mbira ("em-beer-uh"). Originating in West Africa, the Mbira, or thumb piano, spans five octaves with one stroke of the finger, sounding often like a cat springing from spot to spot.
In ancient times the Mbira was often regarded as a timeless musical instrument used to bridge the spirit world. Its tonal scale seems to effect within the listener a state of peaceful and deep relaxation, undisturbed by the world.
On EqyptiCat, Patrick uses the mysterious and venerable cat to reflect the mysteries of Africa as immortalized by the Egyptians. These mystical sounds blend into the listener's soul.

"EgyptiCat is a perfect blend of music that offers an aura of mystery and an ambience that transports the listener to another and better place. To no small degree, the mbira is the perfect instrument for this album because of its unique sound and the fact that it spans five octaves with one finger stroke.
Add to that original compositions that are filled with a sense of wonder and imagination, all written by Mr. Hadley. The musicianship, the music and the production techniques all conjure to offer mystical and magical auras that delighted this reviewer. Indeed, there is a feline quality to EgyptiCat...you can almost see the ancient cat god of Egypt slinking across the room, quietly and gracefully.
EgyptiCat is unique in its mysterious ways. Patrick Hadley and Cap Weinberger, Jr. have given us music that calms, relaxes, and offers a path to introspection...a path to serenity!" Richard Fuller, Metaphysical Reviews.
